P. Vasu’s clashes with Kasthuriraja and Dhanush

This festive weekend starting on the 14th of April the box office offers a variety of entertainment to TN people like the forest adventure, 'Kadamban' starring Arya and Catherine Tresa, the horror comedy 'Shivalinga' starring Raghava Lawrence and Ritika Singha and the poetic love story of senior citizens in 'Pa Pandi' which marks the directorial debut of Dhanush. Not to forget the mega action flick 'Fast and the Furious 8' having a wide release in Tamil and English.

An amazing co-incidence is that 26 years back in 1991 director P. Vasu's 'Chinna Thambi' clashed at the box office with Kasthuri Raja's 'En Rasavin Manasile' which was the debut of Rajkiran as a hero. Both the films went on to become blockbusters of the time. Now Kasthuri Raja's son Dhanush is debuting as director with the same Rajkiran as hero in 'Pa. Pandi' and on the same day P. Vasu's 'Shivalinga' also hits the screens.
