Before 2 years, singer Chinmayi had opened up against lyricist Vairamuthu alleging that he had sexually harassed her. Chinmayi has been since then involved in revealing many instances of sexual harassment. Following Chinmayi, many other women had shared instances of sexual harassment by the lyricist.

Now after 2 years Chinmayi has published another account of sexual harassment by Vairamuthu, shared anonymously by a person known to her. Chinmayi tweeted "Almost 2 years since the second wave of the #MeToo movement. #17. It took her 2 years to open up to me because her family doesn’t support. Have known her for years. And of course, does it even matter to the peeps of this society?" and posted screenshots of the conversation with the accuser.

In the conversation, the girl says that she had met Vairamuthu at a book release function in her college and Vairamuthu had signed the girl's book with his number, and further asked for her number as she was working as a VJ in a popular TV channel and she gave it without thinking twice. The girl further reveals that she got unbelievable number of calls from Vairamuthu, who kept inviting her to some place near mount road and added that the lyricist used to call her the angel he use to see in his dreams. The girl has ended the conversation revealing that she got her media bosses involved to talk to Vairamuthu's wife and shut him up.
