The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG) will be held on September 12, 2021 and the application process has already started.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has announced that the NEET Postgraduate (NEET-PG) exam will be conducted on September 11, 2021. Details regarding the application can be found in the National Testing Agency (NTA) website -- neet.nta.nic.in.

The medical entrance test was earlier scheduled to be held on April 18, but was postponed due to the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. The government later issued a statement claiming that the exams shall not be conducted before August 31 and that the students will be intimated regarding the dates at least one month ahead of the tests.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Tuesday that NEET-UG will be conducted in 13 languages. "The NEET(UG) 2021 will be for the first time conducted in 13 languages with new addition of Punjabi & Malayalam. The languages now being offered are Hindi, Punjabi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Urdu and English," his statement read.

Speaking about following the Covid-19 protocols during the exam, the minister said, "To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc will also be ensured."
