In February, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) made a massive drug bust in Delhi based on the intel from the US DEA, Australia and New Zealand authorities. The Tamil film producer, Jaffer Sadiq, was found to be the man behind the drug network across India, New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia. Jaffer Sadiq was the producer of director-actor Ameer's 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan'.
Jaffer Sadiq was arrested by the NCB in March. Earlier, Ameer clarified that he knew nothing about Jaffer's alleged drug network and he is ready to co-operate with officials in case of an investigation. The NCB is currently investigating Jaffer Sadiq. The latest reports suggest that the famous filmmaker has been summoned by the NCB for an investigation regarding this case.
The NCB has directed Ameer Sultan to appear in person at their headquarters in New Delhi on April 2nd. This is now going viral on social media. We have to wait and see if Ameer is going to appear before the NCB. On the work front, Ameer has exciting films like 'Uyir Thamizhukku' and 'Maayavalai' in his pipeline. The works for 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan' is indefinitely haulted.
