We all know that Nayanthara's wedding documentary titled, Nayanthara: Behind the Fairy Tale triggered a controversy. Actors Dhanush and Nayanthara were especially engaged in a legal battle. Dhanush filed a petition in the Chennai High Court against Nayanthara, and the hearing has come for now.

Netflix is currently streaming the much-talked-about documentary. However, in the documentary, Dhanush’s film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan—produced by Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara under their Wonder Films banner—was featured, with two to three minutes of scenes included without Dhanush's consent. As a result, Dhanush filed a petition in the Chennai High Court against Nayanthara for using these scenes without his approval.

In response to the petition, the court issued notices to Nayanthara, director Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix OTT on December 8th, requesting an explanation. The case was recently heard again before Justice Abdul Quddoos. Netflix asked for time to explain, and the judge granted the request, postponing the next hearing to January 22nd.

There were speculations that the makers of Chandramukhi also issued a legal notice but then, it has been clarified that there is no such scenario.
