Nayanathara and Vignesh Shivan who have been dating for over seven years got engaged in early 2021. They met on the sets of 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' starring Vijay Sethupathi and fell in love during the making. They are said to have decided to tie the knot after another film together.

Due to unexpected delays the couple could reunite on screen only this year as their 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' costarring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha happened. Now their wedding is all set to take place in Mahabalipuram on June 9th at a five star hotel there called Mahabs.

Earlier the adorable couple planned their wedding in Tirupati and traveled there to make arrangements. However it is reported that due to the expected guest list nearing 150 persons the temple management rules did not permit.

It is said that on June 9th at the wedding the close family members of Nayan and Vicky and their common friends and their families will attend. Later a grand reception for the entire South Indian film industry is also planned and the date will be announced soon.

On the professional front Nayanthara is currently starring in 'Connect', 'O2', 'Godfather', 'Gold' and 'Lion'. Vignesh Shivan will be directing Ajith Kumar in 'AK62' which will go on floors in the fourth quarter of 2022.
