Nayantharas Airaa to release in Telugu; Date sealed

Nayanthara's Tamil film 'Airaa' will hit the screens in Telugu as well. It will be a simultaneous Telugu-Tamil release on March 28. The 'Sye Raa' and 'Jai Simha' actress will be seen in a dual role in this horror-thriller.

"The two contrasting avatars of Nayanthara on the posters of the movie have gone down well with the audience. Our film is not just for the lovers of horror-thrillers but also those who love emotional scenes," the makers say.

Director Sarjun says, "The title 'Airaa' has been borrowed from the word 'Airaavat', which is the vehicle of Lord Indra. The word symbolizes the strength of Nayanthara's character in the movie. She will be seen as Bhavani and Yamuna. Initially, two different actresses were supposed to play these roles. However, when we felt that only Nayanthara should play both the roles, a look test was done. And the test was successful. Although 'Airaa' is a supernatural thriller, it has all the ingredients that we find in horror movies. Sound designing will go down as one of the major highlights of our movie."

Yogi Babu, Manobala, MS Bhaskar, Vamsi Krishna, Praveen Ranganathan, Jayaprakash, Leelavathi, Krishna Abhishek and Ravi Prakash are part of the cast.

Music is by Sundaramurthy KS. Screenplay is by Priyanka Ravindran. Editing is by Karthik Jogesh. Cinematography is by Sudarshan Srinivasan.
