Former minister announces 10 crore to cut Vairamuthu’s tongue

Vairamuthu made news recently for all the wrong reasons. His statements in a speech regarding ‘Andal’ as referenced to  a devadasi not only stirred controversy but also seems to have invoked the wrath of many. Even though the bard had apologized for his reference, he has been receiving flak from various corners including ill talk on his family as well. 

Meanwhile, Nainar Nagendran belonging to BJP and a former Minister had participated in a protest against Vairamuthu in Tirunelveli yesterday. Speaking at the protest Nagendran has stated that party members were ready to award a cash prize of Rs.10 crore for whoever slays and cuts the tongue of poet Vairamuthu. Going a step further, he also stated that there should be no hesitation to even kill those people who talk ill of Hindu religion.
