The tragic love story of Laila and Majnu is an eternal one and is considered as one of the greatest love stories history has ever seen.

People often call a person, who is deeply in love, as Majnu. Nagarjuna earlier used the title 'Majnu' for one of his super hit films and now it is the turn of Naga Chaitanya. We have already reported that Chaitu will play the lead in the remake of Malayalam super hit film 'Premam'. As per reports, this film has been titled 'Majnu'.

One of Chaitanya's earlier films is titled as 'Oka Laila Kosam' (For a Laila) and now he turned Majnu. Chandoo Mondeti of 'Karthikeya' fame will direct this movie. Anupama Parameshwaran and Amyra Dastur have been confirmed as two of the female leads. For the other role, a leading actress has been approached. She is yet to give her nod.

Earlier there were reports that Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra was approached for the teacher role. But she is said to have backed out of the project due to date clashes.
