As the teaser makes it clear, 'Khaidi No. 150' has anything between an Anantapur connection to a full-fledged Anantapur backdrop.

But why is it so important? After all, the film's subject has the theme of farmers's plight interspersed with the story. And since Anantapur is one of the worst drought-affected districts in the country, the Anantapur connection is understandable.

But is it still important? It is. If you contextualize the Anantapur connection of Annayya's reel life with Tammudu's Mission Anantapur in real life. Only recently, Pawan Kalyan said in a public meeting that Jana Sena Party will work toward its development. JSP's first office will be set up in Anantapur. Come 2019, Pawan will contest from that district, if his own public statement is anything to go by.

Can one be sure that there is no convergence of interests with respect to Anantapur in the political pursuits of the Mega brothers? It's anybody's guess, but expect some curious debating around this presumptive question.
