Amidst the propaganda that Indian Muslims will have to prove their citizenship because of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said in the Parliament that misinformation has been spread that the bill is against Indian Muslims.
“How is this bill related to Indian Muslims? They are Indian citizens and will always remain, there will be no discrimination against them. No Muslim in India needs to worry due to this Bill. Don’t get scared if someone tries to scare you. This is Narendra Modi’s Government working according to the Constitution. Minorities will get full protection,” Shah said.
Later, an AIDMK MP demanded that Sri Lankan Tamils, including Muslims, be included under the arbit of the Bill.
