Drug addict slits friend's throat after he refused to lend money for drugs

A man from Mumbai, who demanded Rs. 150 from a friend to buy drugs, slit the latter’s throat in a fit of rage when he refused to lend him the money.
Suresh Pande (21), a resident of Pantnagar, threatened and abused his friend, Sandeep Ghadge, when he denied him the money to buy drugs, following which the accused allegedly sliced the victim’s throat. The incident happened in Ghatkopar on Tuesday.
Soon after the assault, Sandeep was rushed to a hospital, where he is currently being treated. The doctors have reported that the victim is recovering. The accused was traced by the police, who have charged Suresh under the “attempt to murder” section of the Indian Penal Code.
