‘Mothevari Love Story’ Emerges As a Smashing Hit on ZEE5

To promote authentic, rooted storytelling from the heartlands of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, ZEE5 Telugu has begun curating original stories that showcase the essence of these regions. As part of this initiative, ZEE5 has recently premiered its latest rural Telangana dramedy, “Mothevari Love Story”, starring Anil Geela and Varshini in lead roles. Premiered on August 8, the series has received a sensational response, attracting over 2,00,000 viewers within just three days of release.

Written and directed by Shiva Krishna Burra, the series features Muralidhar, Sadanna, Vijaya Laxmi, Sujatha, and others in pivotal roles. Mothevari Love Story is produced by Madhura Sreedhar and Sriram Srikanth under the banners of Madhura Entertainment and My Village Show.

Set in the rural backdrop of Telangana, Mothevari Love Story showcases the tale of Parshi (Anil Geela), a young man from Arepalli village, who falls in love with Anitha (Varshini), the daughter of Sattaiah (Muralidhar Goud). But when Sattaiah and his brother Narsingh (Sadanna) uncover their late father’s will, a land dispute sparks between them and sets off a chain of humour, emotions, and unexpected turns.

Since its release, the series has struck a chord, especially with audiences from rural areas and has also featured at the top position in the trending charts on ZEE5 globally. Within no time, Mothevari Love Story has emerged as a favourite for families and viewers of all age groups across the Telugu states.

Sreekanth Arupula brings the visuals to life with his cinematography, beautifully capturing the picturesque rural landscapes of Telangana. Charan Arjun infuses soul into the series with his melodious songs and evocative background score. Editing is handled by Anil Geela, while Sriram Prashanth and Anil Geela serve as Executive Producers.
