Over a year after the fourth season of the popular Spanish series La Casa De Papel or Money Heist premiered on Netflix, fans of the show have been eagerly anticipating the fifth season. The final season will apparently have a twist involving the women robbers, as per a recent statement by the makers of Money Heist.
Money Heist showrunner and executive producer Álex Pina has revealed that the show's female robbers will be at the center of all action and conspiracy. "Are they going to play a crucial role at certain times? I would say very, very crucial. And we’ve added a new twist involving women in this fifth season," he was quoted as saying. Álex Pina added that the writers were conscious about giving equal weightage to the women characters. "I think we have always worked equally well with women and men. In that sense, we remain committed to giving women a leading role, as at other times, men also have a leading role. I don't think it is more or less: it remains the same," he mentioned.
The recently released teaser of Money Heist revealed that the fifth and final season of the series will be streaming in 2 parts. While the first part will premiere on September 3, the second part will be released on December 3 this year. The leading cast members of Money Heist will reprise their original roles in season 5. The list includes Álvaro Morte (Sergio Marquina/The Professor)/Salvador "Salva" Martín), Úrsula Corberó (Silene Oliveira/Tokyo), Itziar Ituño (Raquel Murillo/Lisbon), Jaime Lorente (Ricardo/Daniel Ramos/Denver), and Miguel Herrán (Aníbal Cortés/Rio).
