Mohanlal’s Mother Shantakumari Amma Passes Away at 90

Shantakumari Amma, mother of Malayalam cinema legend Mohanlal, passed away peacefully at her residence in Kochi on Tuesday. She was 90 years old and had been confined to bed for nearly a decade due to age-related health issues.

Mohanlal and his family were present in Kochi at the time of her passing.

Her demise marks a deeply personal loss for the veteran actor, who shared an exceptionally close bond with his mother. Despite his demanding professional commitments and frequent travel, Mohanlal consistently ensured her care and comfort, often making time to be by her side.
