'Master', which hit the screens on January 13 in a big way in the Telugu States, has been declared a clear-cut hit. It took just two days for the Vijay-starrer to enter the profit zone in most of the territories.
As per BO reports, on the second day of its run at the box-office, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial made Rs 1.62 Cr (Share) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This despite 'RED' and 'Alludu Adhurs' being new releases. The 2-day share now stands at Rs 7.36 Cr.
Day 2 break-up is here: Nizam's Rs 44 lakhs, Ceeded's Rs 35 lakhs, Uttarandhra's Rs 21 lakhs, Guntur's Rs 14 lakhs, East Godavari's Rs 11.5 lakhs, West Godavari's Rs 13.5 lakhs, Krishna's Rs 15 lakhs, Nellore's Rs 7.5 lakhs complete the picture.
The film stars Vijay Sethupathy as the villain and his performance has received a rousing reception among the Telugu audience. Although the overlong film has been trolled and Thalapathy Vijay is hardly its saving grace, the 'Sye Raa' and 'Uppena' actor has come in for praise.
Anirudh's music and Sathyan Sooryan's cinematography, too, have received a positive rating from the audience.
