Fans are going gaga over the recent Malayalam blockbuster 'Manjummel Boys', directed by Chidambaram. Renowned writer Jeyamohan courted controversy by slamming the film and Malayalis in his social media post. He referred to the Kerala people as 'Porukkis' and 'Drunkards'.
While many celebrities from the Tamil and Malayalam film industries condemned Jeyamohan for his statement, 'Manjummel Boys' director Chidambaram's father bashed the writer in his latest Facebook post. This is now doing rounds among the netizens. In the viral post, Sathish Poduval wrote:
"Dear friends, it should not be surprising that the movie 'Manjummel Boys' provoked RSS cadre Jayamohanan. It's obvious. Because all the characters in this are normal people who are painters or fish cutters. There is no one from the sixth lord's lineage! No strings attached!
Chidam showed the relationship between the workers. No wonder it didn't go down well with the entourage.
But they are not the ones who fall for the sixth lord and drink Pulissery. Friendship is its essence.
A big salute to Chidam for provoking an RSS cadre like Jeyamohan." (sic)
