Director Mani Ratnam has been Tamil cinema’s one of the finest storytellers captivating us with his distinct tales and cinematic approach. Just recently, the ace director was given a major award, which comes off as a happy news to fans.

Mani Ratnam was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the recently concluded Bengaluru International Film Festival. The film festival witnessed the screening of nearly 300 movies with over 3 lakh movie buffs participating in the same.

Mani Ratnam is currently involved in his next film titled ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ which is star-studded with Arvind Swamy, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay , Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Prakash Raj and Mansoor Ali Khan.
