We all know that the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam is currently working on his dream project and the cinematic adaptation of renowned author Kalki's epic novel 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The teaser of the film, which is being made in two parts, was released earlier this month and became a huge hit.

Today, the makers of the movie took to social media to spill a bean on the release of the first single release from the album. A BTS-making video of Ponniyin Selvan part 1 from the music composing session was launched a while ago. The 40-second-long clip showed AR Rahman and Drums Sivamani recording different types of beats in the studio.

The video read, "First Single Coming Soon from A. R. Rahman" (sic). Ponniyin Selvan is jointly bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. The story of the franchise is centered on the conspiracy surrounding the Chola dynasty throne set 1000 years ago. With Isai Puyal's music, Ravi Varman is handling the visuals and Jeyamohan has taken care of the dialogues.
