Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas is a well known face in Kollywood as well, as she had paired with Vishal in Sivappathigaram, Madhavan in Guru En Aalu, Arun Vijay in Thadaiyara Thakka and had also made an appearance in Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Kuselan, besides starring in Malayalam and Telugu movies regularly.

The talented actress who has also sung many hit numbers, had suffered from Hodgkin's Lymphoma and had cancer following which she underwent treatment, and the survivor of cancer returned to films and is currently acting in a number of Malayalam and Tamil movies.

On eve of World Cancer day, today the actress made a moving, inspirational 10 year challenge post on Facebook, with photos of her in a bald look in 2009 and her current look, and detailed that, last 10 years had been challenging but she fought tirelessly and survived, and thanked her parents and cousins, and friends who challenge her to perform well giving her movies. "I got cancer, Cancer didn't get me" stated her post, and the post has gone viral across all social media platforms.
