A 52-year-old man who boarded the wrong train in the Kalyan station in Maharashtra jumped off the train after it started moving away from the station, accidentally slipping and falling down on the platform.
He was saved in the nick of time by a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel who pulled him away from the train, thus preventing the man from falling in the gap between the train and the platform. The security camera footage of the incident at the Kalyan station has gone viral on social media, with several people lauding the effort of the RPF personnel and another police officer who saved the lives of the 52-year-old man and his son. The duo had apparently boarded the Pawan Express by mistake while they had booked a ticket in Kamayani Express. The video shows the elderly man getting off the running train while carrying his luggages.
He is seen falling in the gap between the train and the platform before being pulled away by the official. The father and son reportedly received minor injuries from the fall.
