With 2019 marking the 25th year of the Maha Shivaratri celebrations at the Isha Foundation, President Ram Nath Kovind is in town from March 3 to March 5, attending the event as its Chief Guest.

Along with Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the President would be paying tribute to the martyred Pulwama soldiers by planting saplings at the Isha Yoga Centre.

Meanwhile, Coimbatore district’s Forest Officer has issued a statement to the Isha Foundation stating that the TN Forest Department will not be taking any responsibility for the injury/death of any individual, caused by animals in and around the forest, attending the event.

Several famous artists, including singers Amit Trivedi, Hariharan, and Karthik, will be performing at the silver-jubilee event, which is expected to be the grandest of all the previously conducted celebrations of the occasion.
