‘Maanaadu’ Completes 4 Years: Director Venkat Prabhu’s Emotional Post Wins Hearts!

The groundbreaking sci-fi action thriller Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu and starring Silambarasan TR (STR) in the lead role, was released in theatres on November 25, 2021, and went on to become a massive blockbuster.
The film featured a stellar cast including Kalyani Priyadarshan, S.J. Suryah, Y.G. Mahendran, Vagai Chandrasekar, Manoj Bharathiraja, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, and many others in key roles. With music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and produced by Suresh Kamatchi under V House Productions, Maanaadu stood out for its unique time-loop concept.
Exactly four years after its release, director Venkat Prabhu took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a heartfelt post expressing his gratitude to fans.

But you not only understood the film, you celebrated and enjoyed it far beyond our expectations. Thank you to the fans who celebrate experimental and unconventional attempts. The director’s emotional message has touched thousands of fans, with many replying instantly, calling Maanaadu an “unforgettable masterpiece” and requesting more such bold and innovative films from Venkat Prabhu in the future.
Even after four years, the impact and love for Maanaadu continue to remain strong among Tamil cinema audiences, once again proving why it is considered one of the most path-breaking films in recent times.
