MAA takes key decisions in first general body meet

The Movie Artists' Association's first general body meet since the formation of the new committee after the recent elections, was held recently. President Naresh VK has said that MAA will live by the principles of Unity, Democracy and Transparency.
Speaking about the general body meeting, Naresh said, "We have elected Krishnam Raju garu as our adviser. Earlier, the likes of ANR garu, Krishna garu, and Chiranjeevi garu had held the position. As promised, a Helpline was set-up to address the concerns of MAA's members within one week of the new committee taking office. The monthly pension for 33 members has been raised to Rs 6,000. New members wishing to join MAA will have to pay Rs 25,000 annually for two years to get permanent membership. 2BHK houses, access to CM Relief fund, etc will be provided to eligible beneficiaries. Chiranjeevi garu is supporting the construction of a new MAA building. We are working towards ensuring that all government schemes will reach our members."
Dr. Rajasekhar, who is the executive president, said that small differences that had cropped up in the MAA have been resolved.
