Lyca Productions made its entry into Kollywood with the release of Vijay’s Kaththi in 2014. Despite facing issues with the production of the movie initially, they managed to overcome it all and went on to produce the blockbuster. They’ve managed to successfully produce and distribute movies following that.
However, this year has arguably been the most phenomenal year for Lyca Productions with the hat-trick combination of Nelson’s Kolamavu Kokila, Mani Rathnam’s CCV, and Shankar’s 2.0, as well as the worldwide distribution of Dhanush’s Vada Chennai.
Lyca’s productional ventures in the following year include K.V.Anand’s movie starring Suriya, Simbu’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, and Shankar-Kamal’s Indian 2.
