Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who made his debut with Managaram which became a successful movie, went on to direct another superhit next with Karthi starrer Kaithi. Now Lokesh is one of the most expected director of Kollywood awaiting the release of his next movie Master, starring Vijay.

After Kaithi's Hindi remake was announced last year, now Maanagaram is set to have it's Hindi remake. Managaram which released in March 2017 starred Sri, Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra, Charlie, Madhusudhan Rao, Munishkanth, Vivek Prasanna and others.

The Hindi remake of Managaram will begin shooting from January 2021 and will be directed by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan. This remake will star young actor Vikrant Massey who gained fame with movies like Lipstick Under My Burkha, Chhapaak etc as one of the leads.
