The talented filmmaker has extensive sequel plans for both movies. Following the success of Vikram, the fans are eagerly waiting for 'Kaithi 2' to materialise and inquiring about the same to the makers.

On the other hand, Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to direct Vijay once again in 'Thalapathy 67', bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio. Recently, the fans asked about 'Kaithi 2' to Kaithi producer SR Prabhu on a Twitter space. He confirmed that Kaithi 2 will kickstart once Lokesh Kanagaraj completes his works for 'Thalapathy 67'. So, we can expect the shooting of 'Kaithi 2' to commence by the end of next year.

This news has cheered up the fans as they got an official update on the next film of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Notably, Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed in a recent interview that Karthi's character was a Kabbadi player when he was in jail. Also, he broke that Arjun Das' character survived with an injury from the incidents that happened in Kaithi during a Twitter interactive session.
