Leopard attacks local politician, journos

In yet another instance of man-animal conflict, a leopard today entered a residential area in Nashik in Maharashtra.

As soon as people spotted it, there developed chaos in the area. A local politician came forward, probably to deal with it somehow. He got attacked by the beast in the process. Two media personnel too got injured while covering the leopard's arrival as the beast turned against them.

A few personnel of the forest department entered the scene hours later and ably captured the leopard. The residents of the locality finally breathed a sigh of relief.
