Nandu, who was recently seen in 'B.Tech Babulu', is getting ready to entertain the audience in 'Kutumba Katha Chitram'. Ahead of the film's release on December 15, the youngster talks about the film, his role, and more.
The title 'Kutumba Katha Chitram' makes one conclude that it's a family entertainer. But the trailer suggests otherwise. What is in store?
It's a full-on thriller. The duels between a couple are what triggers the thrills. I am playing a software engineer in the movie.
How much did the making of the film coast?
We could complete it on a small budget. All of us who worked on the movie were kicked up about the script. So, we didn't even worry much about the remuneration. If the budget is more, it becomes tough at the time of release. We did everything as per a strong plan. We went to the floors with a clear plan.
Are you happy with your journey as an actor?
Although I am doing solo hero's movies, I am yet to get a huge hit. That said, I am content as an actor, now that I have been doing movies rather at a stretch. I accept a film only if my role has an importance.
How is your stint with the digital media?
I was planning a feature film by forming a team. It's then that I happened to do 'Why Not A Girl', a short film. It received a lot of appreciation. I am getting a lot of offers to do web series. I have to take it up. A company has offered me a series recently. Nowadays, doing web series can give you a wide reach. Even Rana Daggubati is doing it. While web series may or may not help, there is no harm doing it!
