KTR assures Kandikonda Yadagiri’s family with help

Telugu lyricist and folk writer Kandikonda Yadagiri hasn’t been keeping well. Due to a health issue, he has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Upon coming to know of his condition, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao reached out to his family.

Reportedly, the TRS leader spoke to the hospital management. He assured the patient’s family that they will receive the needed help from the Chief Minister’s fund. So far, Rs 2,50,000 has been released towards meeting urgent medical expenses.

KTR has been an admirer of Kandikonda. Last year, on the occasion of KTR’s birthday, the lyricist came up with a song dedicated to the Minister. In the wake of the pandemic, Kandikonda wrote a tribute song in praise of frontline workers. KTR took to Twitter to share it and appreciated him and singer Rahul Sipligunj on the occasion. 

A recipient of a Doctorate for his thesis on ‘Situational songs in Telugu cinema’ from Osmania University, Kandikonda is a sought-after name in the Telugu film industry. He has penned lyrics for more than 100 movies so far.
