An abandoned car was reported in Kodaikanal hill area and the cops found that it belonged to 28 year old Prabhakaran who was reported missing for a few days. After making repeated calls and SMS to Prabharakaran's number and getting no reply they traced the cellphone tower and found his body with his throat slit thrown 50 feet below.

On further investigation it has been revealed that one Suriyanarayanan of Kodaikanal had paid Manikandan, Mohammed Salman and his brother Irrfan three and a half lakhs and 13 cents land to finish off Prabhakaran. The crime was committed because Suriyanarayanan's daughter Vishnupriya an actress was involved in an illegal relationship with Prabhakaran.

Vishnupriya has acted as a physically disabled person in the Bala produced 'Maayavi' with Suriya and Jyothika. She is married to Rameshkrishnan of Thiruvanmiyur and has two children. It is said that Ramesh Krishnan was suffering from mental illness and was being treated in Kodaikanal. While visiting her husband Vishnupriya had used Prabhakaran's car often and the two fell in love.

It is said that a few days back Vishnupriya was missing and when her father called her she had told him that she was staying in a star hotel with Prabhakaran and has planned to marry him. An enraged Suriyanarayanan had paid the money to the killers to finish the 28 year old car driver. One Senthil a friend of Prabhakaran had invited him to drink liqour which was poisened and later the others slit his throat and murdered him.
