‘KGF 2’ Storm: Biggest sensation ever in Hindi

The ‘KGF 2’ storm has surpassed exceedingly high expectations by a mile. It was expected to nett double the amount that ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’ amassed on March 25 in Hindi. This already impossible high has been surpassed by the Yash-starrer.

On Thursday, which was its Day 1 at the box-office, ‘KGF 2’ collected a nett figure of nearly Rs 54 Cr (just the Hindi version) in India. This is more than what ‘WAR’ and ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ could mint.

The historical opening came on the back of the film’s massive release in India, on as many as 6,500 screens (the Hindi release accounted for more than 50% of the count).

The single screens are on fire, thanks to Prashanth Neel’s direction and treatment. On Thursday, the occupancy touched 80% in Hindi despite the huge release.

In its lifetime run, ‘KGF 2’ will easily surpass what ‘RRR’ is expected to do. The Rajamouli directorial is at Rs 240 Cr (Nett) as of now.
