Director Karthik Subbaraj was one of the prominent names in the list of filmmakers touted to direct Vijay after 'Theri'. The director even met the Ialyathalapathy while he was shooting for the Atlee directed flick.

After 'Theri' has turned out to be a blockbuster, Vijay is presently busy shooting for 60th film directed by Bharathan of 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan' fame and Karthik Subbaraj has announced his next film with Dhanush in the lead. The 'Pizza' director's 'Iraivi' has released on Friday and it has acquired positive reviews from all corners.

In a recent interview Karthik revealed that his idea to make a film with Vijay could not take off at this stage as the script he had readied was not suitable for the star.

We hope the duo teams up in the near future and that is definitely going to be a sumptuous treat for the class and mass.
