Karthik Subbaraj announces release date of his new movie

Karthick Subbaraj after three acclaimed movies, ‘Pizza’, ‘Jigarthanda’ and ‘Iraivi’ has completed a new age thriller titled ‘Mercury’ starring Prabhu Deva, Sananth Reddy, Deepak Paramesh, Anish Padman and Remya Nambesan.  Tirru handles the camera while Santhosh Narayanan scores the music, Vivek Harshan the editing and produced by Karthikeyan Santhanam under the banner Stone Bench Creations. 

‘Mercury’ is a rare silent film in the modern era which is only the second South Indian project after Kamal Haasan’s ‘Pesum Padam’.  Karthik Subbaraj has officially confirmed that the film will hit the screens for Tamil New Years day on the 13th of April 2018.  He has stated “A silent thriller, My 4th feature film as writer-director is all set to Rise & am so excited to show it to you all… A No-Language film releasing in All languages on Friday the 13th April 2018.”
