The upcoming espionage thriller ‘Sardar’ is actor Karthi’s next Diwali release which is slated to storm the silver screens on October 21st. Karthi plays a spy and will be seen in different getups in this film directed by PS Mithran and produced by Prince Pictures.
As per sources, the latest update is that ‘Sardar’ has been censored and got a U/A certificate from the CBFC. The runtime is reported to be around 2 hours and 40 minutes (160 minutes). The makers will launch the official trailer of ‘Sardar’ tomorrow and it will be screened along with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 1’ in theatres.
The star cast includes Karthi in a dual role as Kathiravan IPS and Sardar Sakthi, Raashii Khanna as a lawyer, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Murali Sharma, Munishkanth, Sahana Vasudevan, Ilavarasu, Rithvik and Yugi Sethu. ‘Sardar’ has George C Williams and Ruben handling the camera and the editing, respectively.
