Kamal Haasan confirms his next movie after mega blockbuster hit ‘Vikram’

Kamal Haasan fans are on cloud nine after waiting four years to see him on screen.  His new age action thriller ‘Vikram’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj released on Jun 3rd to tremendous response both critically and commercially.  The film has music by Anirudh and also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil among others.

Meanwhile in his latest press interaction in Kerala for promotional activities of ‘Vikram’, Kamal confirmed that his next film will be directed by Mollywood helmer Mahesh Narayanan.  The former editor worked with Kamal Haasan in ‘Vishwaroopam’ before making the Fahadh Faasil film to high critical acclaim and box office returns.

Initial reports from unconfirmed sources suggest that the script for the new film is written by Kamal himself and could be the spiritual sequel to ‘Devar Magan’ that had Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles.  The same sources add that Vikram and Vijay Sethupathi are likely to play the parallel leads in the RKFI banner and shooting is planned to begin in August this year.  Lets wait for the official cofirmation.
