K. Bhagyaraj is one of the most popular actor-directors that Tamil cinema has ever produced. He has been hailed as a screenplay king all over the country and has churned out many a blockbuster hit in heyday.

On the personal front Bhagyaraj is married to veteran actress Poornima Bhagyaraj and has two children Saranya who debuted as actress in 'Parijatham' and Shantanu who is a popular young hero. Post her debut movie Saranya did not act in any movie and has been keeping a low profile for almost seventeen years now.

Meanwhile the Bhagyaraj family celebrated Pongal in their house and the photos have gone viral on the internet. Saranya's is quite unrecognizable but is seen in a happy zone. In all the photos a young man as well as a girl child is seen that have raised speculations in the media as to whether Saranya got married and has a child. However there has been no official word regarding this from the family.

Kiki Vijay and Shantanu have clarified in their latest video that Saranya is not present at the family's Pongal celebrations. The reports that were carried in the media were due to a case of mistaken identity.
