“Ram Charan Deserves National Award for Peddi” – Shiva Rajkumar Praises Charan’s Performance

Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar heaped praise on Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana while speaking about the highly anticipated rural action drama Peddi. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on June 4.
During a media interaction, Shiva Rajkumar revealed that Buchi Babu’s narration instantly excited him and made him eager to be part of the film. He said his character “Gournayudu” carries a strong purpose and emotional depth, adding that the bonding between Peddi and Gournayudu would strongly connect with audiences.
The Kannada star described Ram Charan’s performance as extraordinary and confidently stated that the actor deserves a National Award for the film. He praised Charan’s physical transformation, dedication, and intense preparation for the role, saying the actor spent nearly two years completely immersed in the character.
Shiva Rajkumar also shared that the shooting journey felt like working with family, as Ram Charan, Buchi Babu, and the entire technical team treated him with great warmth and respect throughout the schedule.

Praising director Buchi Babu Sana, Shivanna called him a “fantastic director” with exceptional storytelling skills. He further revealed that every character in the film, including roles played by Jagapathi Babu and others, has been designed brilliantly.
Speaking about the film’s scale, Shiva Rajkumar said Peddi features multiple sports woven strongly into the narrative, which will offer audiences a unique theatrical experience. He also hinted that the film’s climax would be highly surprising and emotional.
The actor additionally appreciated cinematographer R. Rathnavelu for delivering breathtaking visuals and praised the production values mounted by producer Satish Kilaru.
Apart from Peddi, Shiva Rajkumar revealed that he is currently working on Gummadi Narasayya and Jailer 2, adding that he is open to doing more Telugu films if strong stories come his way.
