Jokes after BJP MLC says Hanuman was a Muslim

BJP MLC Bukkal Nawab from Uttar Pradesh has created a mini storm by saying that Lord Hanuman was a Muslim.  “I think Hanuman was a Muslims.  His name rhymes with Muslim terms such as Rehman, Ramzan, Farman, Zishan, Qurban,” Nawab said, speaking like a nawab of linguistics.

Naturally, the politician’s logic has triggered a raft of jokes.  A tweeple said, “Hanuman ji was Jewish, because Friedman, Wiessman, Hartman, Goldman, Edelman.”

Reacting to his comments, Hariom Pandey, a BJP leader, said that Hanuman was actually a Brahmin.  “If Sugreeva was a Kurmi, Baali was a Yadav,” he added.  Unlike those joking about Nawab, this guy has given a ‘relevant’ comment with all seriousness.
