Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have reached an agreement in their divorce proceedings, signaling cooperation.
During a three-day mediation last week, they discussed the divorce terms. Since there's a prenuptial agreement, asset division wasn't a major issue. The primary concern revolved around child custody. Sophie aimed for the children to reside in the UK, while Joe preferred they stay with him in the US.
According to settlement documents obtained by TMZ, "an amicable resolution on all issues between them is forthcoming." In other words, they're very close to finalizing a settlement.
In the interim, they've established a temporary child custody arrangement. From October 9 to October 21, Sophie will have custody of their two children, aged 1 and 3. During this period, she can travel with them to the UK. On October 21, Sophie must return to the US with the children, where Joe will take custody until November 2.
The children will then return to Sophie until November 22, after which Joe will have them, presumably spending Thanksgiving together. Sophie will regain custody on December 16, keeping the children until January 7, covering Christmas and New Year's. It appears that a final settlement is on the horizon.
