Breaking! TN government transfers Jeyaraj-Fenix death case to CBI

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy has announced that the death case of father son duo Jeyaraj and Fenix allegedly due to police brutality will be transferred to the CBI. He has stated that the process would involve informing the Madurai bench of Madras High Court and with the court's consent, the case will be handed over to CBI.
Jayaraj and his son Fennix of Sathankulam in Thoothukudi reportedly run a cellphone shop and on June 20th were arrested for violating the lockdown rules and keeping teh shop opened after 8 pm, It is said that both were brutalized by the policemen and later died at a hospital on June 23rd after they were shifted there.
Two police officers, sub-inspector Balakrishnan and Raghuganesh were suspended and all the other officers were dismissed. Now that the case is being transferred to the CBI thanks mainly due to the outrage on social media involving both the public and the celebrities of various fields.
