Who was the popular actor scared of Horses in Ponniyin Selvan?

Ponniyin Selvan audio launch was a grand event which was graced by many top actors and directors from the film industry including, director Shankar, Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari and many more.

At the event, the actors who were part of this magnum opus shared their experiences and spoke a few words about the movie, Actor Jayram who is playing Azhwarkadiyan Nambi alias Thirumalaiappan, shared a hilarious incident that happened during the filming of this movie and spoke about a versatile actor who was scared of horses.

Jayram said, ” There is an actor in the film, he was very scared of horses. He went to director Mani and asked if the horse scene can be replaced with a majestic walk. Since the director wanted to have the horse to add an artistic touch, the actor trained with a tiny horse for three days. On the shoot day, seeing the tiny hose, Mani stopped the shoot and asked the helpers to bring the majestic horse which was also notorious by nature.” The actor without any single word of denial went straight to the horse hopped on its back and shot the scene in a single take.”

Jayram also revealed that the versatile actor was none other than Parthiban who is playing the role of  Chinna Pazhuvettaraiyar, the chief in charge of Thanjavur fort. Ponniyin Selvan is scheduled to have a worldwide theatrical release on 30 September 2022 in both standard and IMAX format.
