Jayam Ravi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Rathnam. This epic is expected to be one of the greatest movies Jayam Ravi has ever acted. Now as the actor is busy promoting the film, he has also given a huge update on Thani Oruvan 2.

Speaking at the promotion Ravi said, My brother, Mohan Raja asked me what next after Ponniyin Selvan. So I asked him to direct Thani Oruvan 2. I asked Mani, sir, about this and he told me I would do something great after PS. However, I don't know if I can make a film like Ponniyin Selvan but I am confident that I will be able to do better in whatever I do next with the experiences I have gained from this film."

But Ravi did not disclose what Mohan Raja's reaction was. As the expectation has gone sky high after this update, now fans are waiting for the team to make a sequel to this movie. Thani Oruvan is an action thriller film directed by Mohan Raja and written by Raja and Suresh and Balakrishnan. Produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, S. Ganesh and S. Suresh under the studio AGS Entertainment, it stars Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy and Nayantara while Ganesh Venkataraman, Harish Uthaman, Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, Mugdha Godse, amongst others play supporting roles.

Coming back to PS 1. the film is all set to hit the silver screens on September 30. The film stars an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R. Parthiban. The music is composed by A. R. Rahman, with cinematography handled by Ravi Varman, editing done by A. Sreekar Prasad and production design by Thota Tharani.
