Even before the release of his debut film, Jathi Ratnalu, director Anudeep KV has bagged his next, say reports. The young director, who is making his Telugu cinema debut with the Naveen Polishetty-starrer, is in talks to direct actor Ram Pothineni in his second film. C Ashwini Dutt will be producing this untitled film under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Interestingly, Anudeep's Jathi Ratnalu was produced by Nag Ashwin under Swapna Cinema, a production arm of the Vyjayanthi Movies.
According to a source, Anudeep has pitched a hilarious storyline to Ram and received a go-ahead from the iSmart Shankar actor. In all probability, the film would go on floors in the second half of 2021. In the interim, Ram Pothineni will start shooting for director Lingusamy's Telugu-Tamil bilingual film, RAPO 19, soon.
Touted to be an action entertainer on the lines of Lingusamy's earlier films, the film also features Kriti Shetty as the female lead. Jathi Ratnalu, which tells the story of three men searching for love and happiness after leaving prison, is arriving in theatres on March 11 coinciding with Maha Shivaratri. Besides RAPO 19, Ashwini Dutt is also committed to bankrolling a pan-World film in the combination of Prabhas and Nag Ashwin.
