Jared Leto is all set to bring Marvel's Morbius to life. This former Suicide Squad and Justice League actor recently spoke about whether or not he'd ever play Joker again in the DCEU. His hopeful answer has excited the fans who are awaiting his return as Joker.
Dc has brought in many Jokers into their films starting from, Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) and Barry Keoghan (The Batman) but Jared Leto who made his mark as the Clown Prince of Crime within the DC Extended Universe, didn't get a ton of material to work with, he was only seen less than 20 minutes in total during his appearance in 2016's Suicide Squad. Even though he got the chance to reprise the role for 2021's Zack Snyder's Justice League, he only came on-screen during the movie's final scene.
Leto was asked explicitly in a recent interview whether he is still interested in playing the Clown Prince of Crime. He said "Never say never. For me, they’re like living, breathing people. I know they’re not, of course, but I get attached. It’s a shame to never do it again."
Even with that future being uncertain, it's clear that Leto would be all in to bring the classic Batman antagonist back into this universe. Currently, he is waiting for the release of his much-anticipated film Morbius in which he plays the titular role.
