Actress Madhumita, who started her career in 'Lollu Sabha' later debuted on the big screen with Pa. Ranjith's 'Attakathi'. She later found fame playing the role of Jangiri opposite Santhanam in 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi'. She has since impressed with her comedy performances in several films including 'Idharku Thaaney Aasaipattai Balakumara', 'Kashmora' and 'Viswasam'.

Madhumitha also participated as a contestant on 'Bigg Boss Tamil 3' hosted by Kamal Haasan. However she exited the show in a controversial manner and has since distanced herself from the show.

Madhumitha in 2019 married her cousin Moses Joel an aspiring filmmaker and gave birth to a baby boy in May 2022. Now he is all of ten months old and his proud mother has shared his pics on social media. Fans are urging the talented actress to make a comeback soon in films as well as reality shows such as Cook With Comali.
