"Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25," an official statement from the makers of the untitled, 25th James Bond film has said, much to the surprise of everyone.
Danny Boyle, who is remembered by many Indians for his blockbuster 'Slumdog Millionaire', has taken a surprising decision for sure.
In fact, when he first entered the Bond fray, he turned down a script that was developed by the Neal Purvis-Robert Wade duo. As per Boyle, the 25th Bond film should feature a “charismatic, powerful, innovative, cosmopolitan, bright, cold and vindictive” Russian villain. But will it be a Russian villain when some other director takes over the project? Only time will tell.
"Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig thought BOND 25 should be good, and Danny Boyle thought that BOND 25 should be bad. they were never going to see eye-to-eye on this," senior film critic David Ehrlich has written.
