Siddharth on Thursday claimed that he has received a flurry of abusive calls and threats after he recently started making social media posts against the Modi government over the handling of the pandemic. The ‘Bommarillu’ actor wrote that his family members, too, have received rape threats.
“My phone number was leaked by members of TN BJP and the BJP TN IT cell. Over 500 calls of abuse, rape and death threats to me & family for over 24 hrs. All numbers recorded (with BJP links and DPs) and handing over to Police. I will not shut up. Keep trying,” Siddharth wrote, tagging Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
In a subsequent tweet, the ‘Maha Samudram’ actor presented a screenshot of some troll saying that he should never be allowed to open his mouth.
The actor, on the work front, is making a comeback to Tollywood with ‘Maha Samudram’, co-starring Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari and Anu Emmanuel.
