I am grieved by the tragedy: Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan has said in a statement that the Godavari boat capsize tragedy has saddened him.  “The tragedy has struck daily wage labourers who travel by river to reach their workplaces.  I have instructed my party activists to assist the authorities in carrying out relief measures,” the actor-politician has said today.

He opined that the negligence of government bodies and officials is pretty much evident.  “If the ‘laanchi’ had no proper permissions and yet it was allowed to ferry, whose fault is it?  Lack of accountability puts the lives of innocent people in danger.  It’s the responsibility of the rulers to find permanent solutions to such problems,” Pawan said.
