Shocking: 18 dead as under construction flyover collapses

In a tragic incident, a collapse of an under-construction flyover in the city of Varanasi killed 18 people. Two pillars of the flyover in construction in the Cantt area collapsed which led to a heavy slab coming crashing down on a local bus and cars parked underneath.

Many of those who were trapped in the debris is suspected to be labourers who were working. Three persons have been resuced. Five teams of National Disaster Response Force teams have been deployed for rescue purposes to be done on a war footing.

Chief Minister Yogi Adithyanath has ordered an inquiry report pertaining to this in 48 hours and have asked the admistration to speed up the rescue process. Watch this space for more updates.
